New Delhi : There was a lot of discussion about the absence of two Aam Aadmi Party leaders during the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam case of Delhi and his/her going to jail. Both the leaders were abroad. Both are Rajya Sabha MPs. One is Swati Maliwal and the other is Raghav Chadha. his/her absence had given rise to all kinds of speculations. Later, after getting interim bail from the Supreme Court, Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail and when Swati Maliwal went to his/her residence to meet him/her, his/her PA Bibhav Kumar allegedly beat up the woman MP. Now Kumar is in jail in that case. Swati Maliwal is an attacker against her own party. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party leaders are also aggressive against Maliwal, whom they never tired of calling ‘Lady Singham’. Now the Rajya Sabha MP has given the reason for his/her absence at the time of Kejriwal’s arrest. Maliwal said that in March she had gone to America for a seminar at Harvard University. Apart from this, there were many meet and greet programs with AAP volunteers. But during that time his/her sister got infected with Corona, due to which he/she had to stay there for a long time. he/she has also claimed that Chadha was treated differently. Speaking to India Today, Maliwal said, ‘I was in the US to attend a conference at Harvard and several meet and greet programs organized by AAP volunteers. Had gone to participate. he/she further told that his/her sister also lives there who was infected with Corona, due to which he/she had to stay there for a longer time. Maliwal said, ‘All my belongings were at her (sister’s) place. Then I also had to go into quarantine.

Swati Maliwal was allegedly beaten up on May 13 at Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. According to his/her complaint given to the police, Arvind Kejriwal was at his/her residence when he/she was attacked.

Swati Maliwal claimed that despite living in America, she was in constant touch with Aam Aadmi Party leaders in India. She said, ‘I was tweeting and talking to party leaders. Whatever I could do at that time, I did everything. Therefore, it is unfortunate to say that at that time I was not with the party, I was not working.

Swati Maliwal, upset over the alleged beating at Arvind Kejriwal’s house, also claimed that Raghav Chadha was treated differently. At the time of Kejriwal’s arrest, Chadha was in Britain for his/her eye operation. he/she has recently returned to India. Maliwal claims that Chadha was treated differently. he/she is campaigning. Has participated in many rallies with Kejriwal.

Maliwal said, ‘I really want to understand why I was treated this way while another Rajya Sabha MP, who was in London at that time, was welcomed with a red carpet on his/her arrival.’
