When they lost the 71 war, General Zia told the Pakistani army – Don’t fight a war with India, launch terrorist attacks, the Reasi attack was the result of this

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was taking his/her historic third oath taking ceremony on Sunday, when terrorists attacked pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir. In the last 60 hours, three terrorist attacks were carried out one after the other. In three days, three terrorist attacks were carried out in Reasi, Kathua and Doda of Jammu and Kashmir. 9 pilgrims lost their lives in these attacks. About 50 people have been injured in all three incidents. Since the beginning of terrorism in 1989 in Jammu and Kashmir, the series of terrorist attacks is continuing, which does not seem to stop. Let us understand why the terrorists chose the time of Modi’s oath taking ceremony? What strategy has Pakistan or Pakistani soldiers adopted to attack India?

The purpose was to give a message to India and the international community

According to Defense and Strategic Analyst Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) JS Sodhi, the terrorists chose a time when Modi was taking oath as PM for the third time. Secondly, at that time the attention of the whole world was on Modi’s swearing-in. Pakistani terrorists used this as an excuse to give a message to India and the international community that the Kashmir issue is not over yet. More or less they were successful in this. The attention of the whole world was drawn towards this.

Why did the terrorists from Pakistan choose the time of oath taking

According to Lt. Col. (Retd.) JS Sodhi, the reason behind timing the attack during Modi’s swearing-in was for the terrorists to gain international publicity for their own personal use. Three terrorist incidents in three days are proof of this. The whole world had its eyes on India at that time.

The evening time was also chosen so that we could escape into the forest

According to Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) JS Sodhi, the terrorists’ strategy of attacking was exactly like ambushing military vehicles. The terrorists chose the evening time to attack so that they could escape easily. This is because by the time any action is taken against them, it would be dark. The terrorists wanted to disrupt the swearing-in ceremony which was to start at 6 pm. The attack was therefore carried out at 5 pm. After the attack, the terrorists were able to escape from the spot because the area around the place where the attack took place is forested.

Did the army not receive intelligence inputs, how is it decoded

According to Lt. Col. (Retd.) JS Sodhi, intelligence inputs may have been received for such attacks. Inputs are received from such a large number of intelligence agencies that it is sometimes difficult to ascertain which inputs can be actionable. Sometimes human error also occurs, because if the inputs do not have all the details, it becomes difficult to take immediate action on them. The army is always in alert mode, but sometimes it is not possible to guess.

General Zia’s lessons are taught to Pakistani soldiers

Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) JS Sodhi tells that after losing badly in the 1971 war, the agitated Pakistan had understood that India cannot be defeated in a direct war. In such a situation, such attacks should be made in India which weaken its internal strength. In 1976, the then Pakistani Army Chief General Zia-ul-Haq made a military doctrine. Its name was Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts. General Zia said that this decision has been taken because India cannot be defeated in a direct war. In such a situation, attacks will be made on India from different places and it will be given deep wounds. This will worsen the internal security situation of India. This same General Zia later became the President of Pakistan by carrying out a coup. This doctrine is taught to soldiers in Pakistan’s Military College, Quetta.

Pakistan and China may attack in war in 2035

Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) JS Sodhi says that on July 8, 2013, China’s official newspaper Vinweipu had predicted that there would be a two-front war in 2035, in which China and Pakistan would jointly attack India. China also has an interest in POJK. The 65 billion dollar economic corridor project will also pass through POK. China has invested money in many hydroelectric projects in POK. Pakistan had given the 5,180 sq km Shaksgam valley to China in 1963 under an illegal agreement. Earlier, Pakistan had given more than 38 thousand sq km of Aksai Chin area to China.

To deal with such attacks, the Army has a Cold Start Doctrine

According to Lt. Col. (Retd.) JS Sodhi, the Indian Army developed the Cold Start Doctrine in 2009. According to this, if an enemy country or its terrorists attack in peacetime, a strategy was made to retaliate within 48 hours. Its purpose is also to not give Pakistan a chance to launch a nuclear attack in case of a war. Till now, if the enemy attacked, it took a lot of time to move the troops from different parts of the country. The Indian Army foiled Pakistan’s plans in the Kargil war in the same way.
