New Delhi. Former star batsman of Team India Sachin Tendulkar also remains in the news due to his/her calm behaviour. Apart from being a cricketer, he/she is also the brand ambassador of many companies. Sachin had said in an interview that once a company was giving him/her a blank cheque. Despite this, he/she refused to accept this cheque. As soon as he/she refused the cheque, he/she showed the mirror to legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Virender Sehwag.

In fact, while speaking at an event, Sachin Tendulkar had said, “I started playing cricket during my schooling. Since then, I started getting many promotional offers. Many tobacco companies asked me to promote them but I never did it. Because I had promised my father that I would never advertise tobacco products.”

Sachin had said that I did receive offers from many tobacco companies. But I never accepted them. They even used to give me blank cheques but I never accepted these cheques. My father had said that you are a role model, the world will follow whatever you follow. That is why I have never promoted any tobacco products till date.
