When Rishi Kapoor decided to leave Bollywood, the actor was tired of playing the role of a hero for 25 years


Late actor Rishi Kapoor did everything from romantic to serious roles in his/her career and created a distinct identity for himself. In the 80s, he/she was considered one of the charming and romantic actors of Bollywood. But despite being so successful, Rishi Kapoor wanted to leave Bollywood. Do you know why? Rishi Kapoor was tired of playing the role of a hero for 25 consecutive years. It had become so much that he/she had decided to leave the film industry. Rishi Kapoor is no longer in this world. he/she passed away in the year 2020, but when he/she was alive, he/she once told in an interview how fed up he/she was about to quit acting. Rishi Kapoor had said that he/she was tired of playing romantic roles and roaming around trees in films.

Rishi Kapoor had said, ‘I was fed up of working as a hero for 25 years continuously. Those characters defied age, body and fat factors. I was bored of roaming around trees and running after girls wearing sweaters in Switzerland.’

Then wife Neetu Kapoor supported Rishi and supported his/her decision to take a break from acting. According to reports, Neetu Kapoor told Rishi that if he/she is not enjoying work and is feeling very tired, then he/she should take a break. Then in the 2000s, Rishi Kapoor took a break from acting. Although he/she kept appearing in films in between, but then he/she was not playing the role of a hero. Only 8 of his/her films were released between 2000 and 2010.

Rishi Kapoor had leukemia, died in 2020

Rishi Kapoor died on 30 April 2020. he/she was ill for a long time. In 2018, he/she was diagnosed with leukemia, for which he/she was treated in New York. After recovering from there, Rishi Kapoor returned to India after a year. But due to difficulty in breathing, he/she was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on 9 April 2020. he/she breathed his/her last on 30 April.
