When PM Modi extended a glass of water towards the protesting opposition MPs, watch the video

New Delhi: As soon as the Prime Minister arrives in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday to reply to the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s address Narendra Modi As soon as PM Modi started speaking, the MPs of opposition parties started creating ruckus. Despite repeated warnings by the Lok Sabha Speaker, the ruckus of opposition MPs continued. This ruckus was not for a short while but the noise continued from the time PM Modi started speaking till the time he/she finished speaking. Amidst this ruckus and noise, an incident happened which is now being discussed not only in the House but is also being widely discussed on social media.

In the middle of his/her speech, PM Modi offered a glass of water to the opposition MPs who were disrupting his/her speech by coming into the well of the Lok Sabha and raising slogans against the government. One opposition MP even grabbed the glass of water offered by PM Modi. This action of PM Modi quickly became a trending topic on social media. Many people appreciated his/her move.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala in a sarcastic post said that dictator Modi offers water to opposition MPs who interrupted his/her entire speech. A user wrote that when opposition MPs were in the well and shouting to stop him/her, PM Modi offered them water in response. This is called answering in your own style.

After the Prime Minister spoke, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh moved a motion in the House condemning the violation of parliamentary decorum by opposition members during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address in the Lok Sabha, which was approved by voice vote. Singh moved the censure motion after Prime Minister Modi’s reply to the discussion on the motion of thanks brought on the President’s address.
