The bench that delivered the Ayodhya verdict was included

On November 9, 2019, a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by the then Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi had given its verdict in the Babri Masjid dispute. CJI Chandrachud was part of the bench that delivered the historic verdict. This decision paved the way for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. In this way more than a century old dispute was resolved. The bench also ruled that the mosque would be built on an alternative five-acre plot in Ayodhya itself.
