Rohit Sharma last played Duleep Trophy matches in 2016. he/she played a match for India Blue against India Red in Noida. Batting at number 4 in this match, Rohit scored 30 runs off 57 balls in the first innings. India Blue scored 693 runs for 6 wickets in the first innings in which Cheteshwar Pujara scored an unbeaten 256 runs. In the second innings, Rohit scored 32 runs off 75 balls. Ravindra Jadeja took a total of 10 wickets in both innings and gave India Blue a victory by 355 runs.

Virat Kohli last performed well in the Duleep Trophy in 2010. If Virat takes part in this tournament this time, then he/she will play in the Duleep Trophy after 4,302 days i.e. after 11 years 9 months and 11 days. he/she played for North Zone against West Zone in which Rohit Sharma was also a part. Kohli then played an innings of 56 runs and was the top scorer for North Zone. North Zone was all out for 294 runs. In reply, West Zone scored a huge score of 769. he/she did not come to bat in the second innings. And this match was a draw. Rohit and Pujara scored centuries in the second innings for West Zone.

Virat and Rohit said goodbye to this format after the T20 World Cup. Both will now be seen playing in ODIs and Tests. If both the veterans return to domestic cricket, then it will be good for the young players who will share the dressing room with them. They will get a lot to learn.
