When Dev Anand got married during the shooting break, the actor cried bitterly for his/her love

No matter how successful a person is, failure in love troubles him/her in every way. Imagine that someone’s success was making so much noise on the screen that his/her charm was not limited to Bollywood, he/she was the choice of producers and directors even in Hollywood. The filmmakers there also kept persuading that hero but he/she did not agree. he/she refused outright saying that he/she is a nationalist and will work only in his/her country. The name of this actor was Dev Anand. The most stylish hero of Hindi cinema on whom the heroines of the industry and the young women of the country were crazy. Dev Anand, who spread his/her charm in Hindi cinema for 6 decades, never looked back from the beginning of his/her career till the end. he/she was so cheerful that he/she used to talk about embracing even death. he/she would say, ‘I am not afraid of death. When it comes, I will embrace it, because everyone has to die one day.’

Dev Anand used to move ahead with a carefree attitude

he/she had a movie ‘Guide’ in which there was a dialogue, ‘Na dukh hai, na sukh hai, na deen hai na duniya.’ You are just sleeping and then you close your eyes. And, you are in a different world. And, you are gone. You are dead. You did not have to suffer. Who knows where you are? Only those people will feel sad who will be left behind. They will cry for you. Dev Anand also lived with this feeling.

If he/she cried bitterly for any girl, that too was Suraiya

If there was any girl for whom a lively person like Dev sahab cried bitterly, it was Suraiya. However, the two could never meet and a condition and threat always kept them apart.

This is how the story of Kalpana and Dev Anand began

Suraiya never married. But Dev Anand married Kalpana Kartik. The story of their marriage was also very interesting. Actually, Kalpana and Dev Anand were working together in Chetan Anand’s film ‘Baazi’ and Kalpana liked Dev sahab a lot. Then both of them came together to work in ‘Taxi Driver’. After the first film, Kalpana started getting offers from many other banners. But she refused. She kept refusing to work saying that she wanted to work only with Dev sahab.

This star shone so brightly that everyone else’s shine faded

While shooting on the sets of the film ‘Taxi Driver’, Dev sahab proposed marriage to Kalpana and she readily agreed and they both got married on the film set during a break in the film shooting. Dharamdev Pishorimal Anand i.e. Dev Anand worked in 116 films including ‘Vidya’, ‘Jeet’, ‘Shayar’, ‘Guide’, ‘Officer’, ‘Do Sitare’, ‘Ziddi’ and ‘Sanam’. Ban on wearing black court pants

Dev Anand, who considered Ashok Kumar as his/her inspiration, was blessed by God and it was Ashok Kumar who gave him/her a big break. Dev Anand’s charm was such that the court had to ban him/her from wearing black court pants. There is an amazing story behind this too. It is said that he/she looked so handsome in this colour of court pants that girls wanted to have him/her and then even committed suicide.

Dev Anand had clashed with Indira Gandhi government

However, Dev sahab had called this a rumour in his/her book ‘Romancing with Life’.
