Amol Palekar recently recalled an incident from the film ‘Bhumika’ in an interview, due to which there was a stir on the set. Amol Palekar had slapped Smita Patil without informing her in a scene. According to the actor, Smita was insulted a lot. Amol Palekar told in an interview to ‘The Lallantop’ that director Shyam Benegal had asked him/her to slap Smita without informing her. Although Amol was against it, he/she had to do it.
