What will be the impact of Israel-Iran conflict on India? Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said this big thing

New Delhi: Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has given a big statement regarding the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. he/she has said that whether the conflict is in Ukraine or West Asia, it will affect everyone. The Foreign Minister expressed concern over the situation in the Middle East. Apart from this, S Jaishankar told that he/she is going to Pakistan for the SCO summit, but during this period he/she ruled out the possibility of any talks between India and Pakistan.

‘The situation in the Middle East is worrying’

The External Affairs Minister had attended the Sardar Patel Lecture organized by the IC Center for Governance in Delhi. During this, he/she expressed concern over the situation in the Middle East and said that the situation is really worrying. This will affect us too. Jaishankar said that I will say honestly, whether the conflict is in Ukraine or in the Middle East and West Asia… it will increase instability. I think the whole world including India is worried about this.

‘The conflict will affect the entire world’

“The Middle East is not an opportunity,” he/she said. This is a cause for deep concern. The conflict is escalating, which we saw in the form of terrorist attacks, then the reaction, then we saw what happened in Gaza. Now you are also seeing it in Lebanon, between Israel and Iran. The Houthis are firing on the Red Sea. It’s really hurting us. It’s not like someone is neutral and you’re benefiting… conflicts can be used opportunistically, I don’t deny that, but I think in a globalized world that is so tight, conflicts anywhere Actually creates problems everywhere and some kind of supply will be affected by it. So I would say honestly today, whether it is the conflict in Ukraine or the conflict in the Middle East West Asia, these are big factors of instability, big factors of concern. I think the whole world, including us, we are concerned about it….’

‘I am going to Pakistan but…’

The Foreign Minister also talked about his/her visit to Pakistan. Jaishankar admitted that given the nature of relations between the two countries, there would be a lot of media attention on his/her visit to Pakistan, but he/she clarified that the visit was not for any talks. The External Affairs Minister said, “It (the visit) will be for a multilateral event. I am not going there to discuss India-Pakistan relations. I am going there as a good member of the SCO. You know, I I am a polite and decent person, so I will behave accordingly.”

Pakistan targeted for terrorist activities

Elaborating on his/her visit, Jaishankar said, ‘I am going to visit Pakistan this month. This visit is for the meeting of SCO heads of government. Normally, the Prime Minister visits for high-level meetings with heads of state. This year this meeting is being held in Islamabad because Pakistan is a new member of the group. Jaishankar also made a veiled attack on Pakistan regarding its terrorist activities. he/she said, ‘Terrorism is something that cannot be accepted. One of our neighbors continues to support terrorism. This cannot last forever in this area. This is the reason why SAARC meetings have not taken place in recent years.
