What should be the age of the child for admission in nursery, know

Nursery Admission Age Criteria: If you want to get your child’s admission in nursery, then you must be thinking that what should be the age of your child? In such a situation, let us tell you that the age of children for admission in nursery has been fixed by the Central Government for 3 years. The new education policy 2020 covers five years in the basic stage of learning for children from 3 to 8 years. Pre-schooling from the age of 3 years to 6 years i.e. Play Group, Nursery and KG classes are included. In this case, you can get your child’s admission in nursery at the age of 3 years.

You can get admission in class one at the age of 6 years.
If your child has completed nursery, then you can get him/her/her admitted in class one at the age of 6 years. Children below this age will not be given admission in class one. In this regard, the Central Government had also issued an order to all the states and union territories in the past. In which it was said that no state should give admission in class one below the age of 6 years.

Many states used to give admission in class one only in 5 years.
In many states of the country, at the age of 5, admission was given in class I. According to experts and educationists, due to admission in class one at an early age, there was more pressure on the children, due to which their studies were affected. Due to this, he/she could not even perform well. At the same time, the performance of the children who took admission at this age was also less than the children who took admission in 6 years in the further classes. Apart from this, with the implementation of this rule, children will get admission in the same age in all the states. This is the reason that the education department has fixed the age of 6 years for admission in class one. However, there are many states in the country where children are admitted to class I only at the age of 6 years.

Let us tell you that in the new education policy 2020, the age of 8 years has been set for children to learn in the primary stage. This includes schooling till the age of 6 years i.e. nursery, play group and KG classes. At the same time, there is a provision for admission in class one at the age of 6 years and in class two at the age of seven years. On the other hand, if a child is weak in studies, he/she can be taught in class II even at the age of 8 years.
