What if the Champions Trophy knockout or final is canceled due to rain?

New Delhi. What cricket fans around the world were waiting for is over. ICC ended the wait of all the fans by releasing the schedule of Champions Trophy. Next year, the tournament is to be played according to the hybrid model to be hosted by Pakistan. All the matches of the Indian team will be held outside Pakistan in Dubai. ICC has made special arrangements for the knockout and final matches of the tournament so that even if the match is not held on the scheduled day due to rain or any other reason, the fun of the fans is not spoiled.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. The tournament will start from 19th February and its final match will be played on 9th March. This 50-over tournament will be organized in Pakistan and Dubai, in which a total of 15 matches will be played.

Team India will play its three league matches in Dubai and the first semi-final will also be held in Dubai. Matches will also be organized in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi of Pakistan. There will be three league matches each in Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore. Apart from the league matches, Lahore will also host the second semi-final of the tournament and if India does not qualify for the final, the final will also be held in Lahore.

What if the knockout or final is canceled due to rain?

Fans do not need to worry about the ICC knockout or final match. A reserve day has been kept for the semi-finals and final of Champions Trophy 2025. The first semi-final will be held in Dubai on March 4 and the second semi-final will be held in Lahore on March 5. There will be a gap of three days between the semi-finals and the final and if the knockout match is canceled due to rain then the match will be played on the reserve day.

The place of Grand Finale i.e. Champions Trophy final will depend on India’s performance. If India qualifies for the final then the final will be held in Dubai otherwise it will be hosted by Lahore. If the final is canceled on March 9, then both the finalists will compete on the reserve day on March 10.
