Weather will remain cool in Delhi-Noida, monsoon is also gaining strength, know how far it has reached


New Delhi: Due to light rain and thunderstorm in Delhi-NCR, the effect of heat wave has reduced. The weather has changed in other areas of North India as well. Monsoon is also gaining strength here. On Thursday, the monsoon moved northwards and reached large areas of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha, giving relief to the people suffering from heat.

The weather will remain cool in Delhi tomorrow too
The weather department in Delhi has predicted partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain and dust storm on Friday. The department said that the maximum temperature is likely to be around 49 and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 29 degrees Celsius.

How far has the monsoon reached
According to the Meteorological Department, the Southwest Monsoon moved northwards on Thursday after a 10-day lull and reached Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha regions. According to IMD data, the country has received 17 percent less rainfall than normal this monsoon. Between June 1 and 20, 77 mm rainfall was recorded, while the normal rainfall is 92.8 mm.

Monsoon will reach UP in the next 3-4 days
The weather department said that the southwest monsoon has advanced into some parts of Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, northwest Bay of Bengal, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Bihar. The IMD said that conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Gangetic and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh during the next three to four days.

Heavy rain alert in West Bengal
After rapidly covering several other states two days before normal, the monsoon did not make any significant progress between June 10 and 19. This has increased the wait for the monsoon for North India, which is facing severe heat. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department in Kolkata said that the southwest monsoon has arrived in most parts of North Bengal and warned of heavy rain in the region in the next five days. Meteorologists have predicted heavy to very heavy rain at one or two places in Alipurdurwar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Kalimpong and Darjeeling districts of North Bengal in the next five days.
