The Meteorological Department has released the weather forecast for next week. According to this forecast, there may be some relief from the heat in some areas of the country next week. As per estimates, a drop of three to five degrees in temperature may be observed over East India in the next five days.

On Friday, the maximum temperature in North Western, Central and Eastern India of the country was around 36-39 degree Celsius. In the next 4-5 days, there will not be much difference in temperature in the northwest region and there will be some respite from the heat. Light to moderate rain is expected over North East India for the next two days. Strong winds can also blow in some places. Heavy rain is expected in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya on Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected in some areas of central India such as Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha for the next five days. Torrential rains may also occur in some areas of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar and Vidarbha. Light rains are also expected over Andhra Pradesh, Coastal areas of Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala for the next five days.

The national capital Delhi and NCR are likely to witness partly cloudy sky on Saturday and the maximum temperature will be below normal. The Meteorological Department says that due to cyclonic winds over central India and moisture in the Bay of Bengal, there will be a decrease of five degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature. On the other hand, heat wave conditions will continue in Maharashtra and heatwave conditions will continue in many areas of the state. In West Bengal too, heat waves will bother people and the maximum temperature will be around 44 degree Celsius.

On the other hand, a drop in temperature was also recorded on Friday. The minimum temperature in East Uttar Pradesh increased by 3-5 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature also increased in Bihar, West Bengal and Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura. Whereas Kerala, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Saurashtra, Kutch recorded an increase of 1.6 to 3 degree Celsius in maximum temperature.
