Weather Forecast: Heavy rain in these states including Delhi-NCR today, Meteorological Department issued alert

New Delhi: There is a spell of rain in entire North India including Delhi-NCR. Heavy rain was recorded in many areas on Saturday also. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in many places including Delhi today. IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in the next four to five days. Apart from Delhi, there is a possibility of rain in many states including Himachal, Rajasthan, Haryana, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra. Monsoon has covered almost the entire country.

Orange alert issued for heavy rain in Delhi for three days
Heavy rain is expected in the capital Delhi in the next three days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert, forecasting heavy rain in Delhi for the next three days. The death toll in rain-related incidents in the national capital rose to 11 after the bodies of three workers were recovered from the debris of a wall that collapsed at a construction site in Vasant Vihar area of ​​​​Delhi amid heavy rains on Friday.

Heavy rain in Himachal too
Apart from this, various parts of Himachal Pradesh also received rain and an ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued, forecasting heavy rain and thunderstorms in the state from June 30 to July 2. According to data provided by the State Emergency Operations Center, three roads in Kangra, Kullu and Kinnaur districts have been closed for traffic. The Meteorological Center said that in the last 24 hours, Dharampur received the highest rainfall of 62.4 mm, followed by Dharamsala 52.4 mm, Kasauli 39 mm, Shimla 11.2 mm, Solan 10.2 mm.

Flood like situation in Uttarakhand
Heavy rains occurred in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar in the afternoon, due to which many cars were swept away by the strong current of water as the ‘dry river’ got flooded. In Haridwar, rainwater entered the houses and waterlogging occurred on major roads. This river usually remains dry, so people park their vehicles on the banks of the ‘dry river’. This river fills up with rainwater.

Rain alert in Rajasthan
Heavy rain is expected in Rajasthan in the coming days due to monsoon. According to the weather office, in the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thundershowers was recorded at some places in the state and heavy rain was recorded at some places. During this period, the highest rainfall of 72.3 mm was recorded in Raisinghnagar of western Rajasthan and 68 mm in Kaman (Bharatpur) of eastern Rajasthan. The weather office has predicted heavy rain in some parts of eastern Rajasthan in the next few days.

The IMD said that heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan from June 29 to July 3. The IMD has also forecast very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh during this period. The IMD also said that the southwest monsoon has further advanced into the remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh and some parts of West Uttar Pradesh. The IMD said that conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into most parts of West Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and remaining parts of West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu during the next two to three days.
