Weather Forecast: Heat wave conditions are expected to continue for the next four days in parts of East India and for two days in the North-West region of the country. Heat wave warning in Eastern India Western Disturbance will start affecting the Western Himalayan region from today. IMD Scientist, Naresh Kumar told that the temperature in Delhi-NCR is likely to be 40 degree Celsius for the next 24 hours. After this, it will decrease in entire North-West India. In the plains of Bengal and Bihar, heat wave conditions may continue for four consecutive days. In Sikkim, Odisha and Jharkhand also, the heat wave can continue for the next two to three days. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be hailstorm at some places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab in the next two-three days.
Predictions for 17th and 18th April
The Meteorological Department said that on April 17, there is a possibility of severe heat wave in different areas of Punjab and Haryana and on April 18 in western Uttar Pradesh. East Uttar Pradesh may also be affected by extreme heat on April 18-19. Heatwave conditions have been prevailing over the plains of Bengal for the last six days. This is the situation in Coastal Andhra Pradesh for four days and in Bihar for three days.

The Meteorological Department said that due to the Western Disturbance in the Western Himalayan region, there will be some respite from the scorching heat in the plains of North-Western India from Tuesday. Light rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Rajasthan during April 18 to 20. On April 18, heavy rain is expected in various parts of Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. There is a possibility of heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 18-19 April.
