Was UGC NET paper leaked after NEET? Know the official reason for postponement of the exam

Reasons for postponement of UGC NET exam: Amid reports of irregularities in the NEET exam, the exam scheduled for Sunday, January 23, was postponed and this step was taken as a precautionary measure after the reports that came in the past few days. Meanwhile, the news of the postponement of the CSIR UGC NET exam is also in the headlines. There is a discussion on social media that after the NEET exam, the UGC NET exam paper has also been leaked, however, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has clarified all the rumors and speculations and told the real reason for the postponement of the UGC NET exam.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday said the top leadership of the National Testing Agency is under investigation over alleged irregularities in competitive exams NEET and NET, while he/she ruled out any paper leak in the CSIR-UGC NET, which was postponed recently.

The minister said he/she is the guardian of the students’ interests and he/she has to keep this in mind before taking any step. Amid the ongoing controversy over irregularities in the medical entrance exam NEET, Pradhan had said earlier this week that he/she cannot jeopardise the careers of lakhs of candidates who have cleared the exam in the right manner.

The June edition of the joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research and UGC-NET was postponed on Friday night. The joint CSIR-UGC-NET is an exam conducted to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professorship and admission to PhD in Science courses.

“There was no leak in CSIR-UGC NET, it has been postponed due to administrative reasons and logistical issues. There is also a re-examination of 1,563 NEET candidates tomorrow. This decision has been taken for the smooth conduct of the exam everywhere,” Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan told reporters.
