Been trying for 20 years

Speaking at the Chabahar port, Jaishankar said that we were trying to reach an agreement with Iran for almost 20 years. We could have made a short-term agreement because there were a lot of problems on their side. But in recent months, thanks to those two people, the President of Iran and the Foreign Minister of Iran, who unfortunately died in a helicopter crash yesterday. Due to his interest and initiative, we were able to finalize a long-term agreement. This is very important because it is one of the big things related to the Global Connectivity Corridor.
