Was Rohit dropped from the playing XI? Or he/she himself went out… broke the silence

New Delhi. Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has broken his/her silence on not playing in the Sydney Test against Australia. Rohit said on the second day of the fifth and last Test match of the series that he/she has not been dropped from the team but he/she himself decided to withdraw from the playing eleven. Rohit admitted that he/she is not in form. Therefore he/she decided not to play in Sydney. Rohit has been struggling with poor form for some time. his/her bat also remained silent in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.

Rohit Sharma talked to the official broadcaster Star Sports for about 15 minutes on the second day of the Sydney Test match. During the lunch break, Rohit told that it was his/her own decision to opt out of the fifth Test match against Australia. Rohit said that after the Melbourne Test, he/she had decided that he/she would not play in the next match because he/she was not in form. The Indian captain said that he/she was going to tell this thing the next day but because it was New Year, he/she remained silent.

When Rohit Sharma was asked whether you were dropped from the team or you yourself decided to stay out of the playing eleven? On this the Indian captain said, ‘I took this decision for the team. Because I was not able to bat well. For me, more than personal interest, it was more important for the team to win the fifth Test against Australia. All that was going on in my mind was that I was not in form. You cannot give too many chances to out-of-form players. So my understanding was that I should tell the coach and selectors that these things were going on in my mind. he/she appreciated my decision and said that you have been playing for so long and you know what you are doing and what you are not doing. It was difficult for me to take this decision, but if everything is kept in front, then this decision was necessary. I wanted to give a chance to informed players.
