Warner announces return from retirement, may return from Champions Trophy


New Delhi. Australia cricket team’s dashing opener David Warner announced his/her retirement after the recently played ICC T20 World Cup. This explosive batsman, who has said goodbye to all formats of cricket, has decided to make a comeback. Through a post on social media, David Warner has expressed his/her desire to play for Australia in the Champions Trophy. he/she has informed the selectors about his/her availability for team selection.

David Warner had bid farewell to all three formats of international cricket one after the other. he/she announced his/her retirement from Test cricket after the series played against Pakistan in December last year. After this, David Warner bid farewell to this format after the ODI World Cup played in India. In the ICC T20 World Cup played this year, Australia’s team was eliminated from the Super 8 itself. Warner bid farewell to international cricket completely along with his/her retirement from T20. Now he/she has expressed his/her desire to play in the Champions Trophy played in ODI format.

Warner comes out of retirement
Australia’s dashing opener David Warner wrote in a social media post that he/she will continue playing franchise cricket and also wants to play for Australia in the Champions Trophy. Warner wrote, I will continue playing franchise cricket for some time now. I am also available to play the Champions Trophy for Australia, if the selectors give me a place in the team.
