‘Waiting for Green Card for 3 years’, Indian CEO upset with US’s ‘dysfunctional’ immigration system, expressed his/her pain like this

US Green Card Waiting Time for Indians: Getting permanent residency in America has become very challenging. Indians have to wait for many years to get Permanent Residency Card or Green Card. It has been said in many reports that the waiting time for Green Card is the highest for Indians. Recently, a debate broke out on social media about this, because the Indian CEO of a top company has been waiting for a green card for three years.
In fact, Perplexity AI CEO Arvind Srinivas has talked about the challenges in getting a green card in America on social media. It all started with Rohit Krishnanan, Chief Product Officer of Bodo.ai, explaining in a post on the social media platform X how many challenges are involved in the US immigration process. Rohit Krishnanan said that even high-skilled immigrants have to wait for years to get permanent residency in America.

Rohit Krishnan said in his/her post, “One thing I learned about the immigration dialogue is how few people actually realize the difficulty of immigrating to this country. I’ve been a three-time immigrant so far “And the American process has been the longest and most difficult ever.” he/she highlighted the challenges and delays that often keep skilled professionals from coming to the US.

At the same time, Arvind Srinivas, co-founder and CEO of Perplexity AI, replied to Rohit Krishnanan’s post and gave his/her perspective. he/she wrote, “Yes, I have been waiting for my green card for the last three years. I still haven’t got it. When people talk about immigration they mostly have no clue.” Srinivas explained how skill workers are facing uncertainties and disappointments.
Arvind Srinivas has graduated from IIT Madras. he/she also holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Before starting Perplexity AI, he/she worked with OpenAI, DeepMind, and Google. he/she has excellent knowledge of Artificial Intelligence.
