The Champions Trophy is starting from 19 February between Pakistan and New Zealand.

New Delhi. The ICC Champions Trophy, earlier known as the knockout tournament, is returning after 8 years. The tournament will begin on Wednesday 19 February with Pakistan and New Zealand. A total of 8 teams will land with the intention of making the Champions Trophy their own. The wait for the fans of 2821 is about to end. India and Australia are the only teams that have captured this trophy more than once. 15 matches will be played during 19 days.

An ICC event is being organized in Pakistan after 29 years, but fans will not see the Indian team playing at their home. There has been a lot of ruckus about the Champions Trophy. The BCCI refused to send its team, after which the Pakistan Cricket Board made every effort but could not convince India. Eventually the PCB agreed to put the Champions Trophy in the hybrid model.

8 teams will take part in Champions Trophy
Top 8 teams of ICC rankings are participating in the Champions Trophy. 8 teams, who were on top in the 2023 ODI World Cup played in India, made it to this tournament. Group A has India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand. Group B has teams from Australia, Afghanistan, England and South Africa.

Pakistan and New Zealand teams will play in the first match of the tournament at the National Cricket Stadium in Karachi. Team India will play their first match against Bangladesh in Dubai on 20 February. All the matches of the Indian team will be played in Dubai itself. The Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan is to be played on 23 February. There will be a match between India and New Zealand on 2 March.

March 4 – First semi -final, Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai
March 5 – Second semi -final, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
March 9 – Final – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (if Indian reaches the finals, Dubai will be match)
