Voters will not be troubled in long lines, polling booths will be equipped with chair-bench facilities in Maharashtra-Jharkhand.

New Delhi: Now voters will not have to stand in long lines while voting. Voters who were forced to stand in long queues to vote often had to face a lot of trouble. In view of this problem of voters, this time the Election Commission has ordered to put chairs and benches as per requirement in the voting lines for the assembly elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand states. So that at the polling stations there are long lines of voters to cast their votes. There the voters can at least sit instead of getting tired standing in lines.

Arrangements of chairs and benches will be made for voters.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has given instructions to put appropriate number of chairs and benches in the voting lines as per the requirement. Which he/she had also mentioned while announcing the assembly elections of Maharashtra and Jharkhand states on October 15. The Commission believes that voters stand in long lines to vote at many polling stations.

However, the queues for women are separate and special arrangements are also made for elderly voters, so that they do not have to stand in queues for long. But despite this, many times the queue of voters of every category becomes long. In view of this, it has been decided that from now on, chairs and benches will also be kept in the voters’ lines during elections. So that voters can sit inside the polling booth and vote.

Polling stations will be built within a radius of every two kilometers.

Apart from this, various other arrangements will be made at all the polling stations of both the states including ramps, wheelchairs, drinking water, tents as per requirement to protect from sun and rain, model polling stations, polling stations operated by women, youth and disabled voters. . All polling stations will be built within a radius of two kilometers from the homes of two voters.

Feedbacks are also taken from voters

The Commission says that it also learns something from every election. In which, if there is any deficiency in the arrangements not only for the voters but also for the polling parties, then every effort is made to rectify it in the next elections. Under this, the decision was taken to put chairs and benches in the lines of voters. Apart from this, feedback from voters is also taken to improve the arrangements, which is implemented in the next elections. The effort is to ensure that the voters coming to vote do not face any kind of inconvenience anywhere.
