Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is reportedly working on a new rollable and foldable smartphone as it has applied for the trademarks “Nex Fold”, “Nex Slide” and “Nex Roll”.
According to GizmoChina, based on the names, it can be assumed that these are foldable and rollable devices.

NEX Fold will be similar to Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Mi MIX Fold
The report, citing MyFixGuide, states that the NEX Fold should have the same form factor as the Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Mi MIX Fold, while the NEX Slide and NEX Roll should have expandable displays.
It is also worth noting that all these devices are under the NEX line of Vivo phones. The NEX line can also be called Vivo’s experimental line, it is similar to Xiaomi’s Mix series.

Vivo has also patented a foldable phone with a stylus
Earlier, a report said that Vivo has patented a new foldable smartphone design with a stylus. Vivo Mobile Communication filed a design patent with WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) in February 2020. Titled ‘Display Panel and Mobile Terminal’, this patent was recently granted and published. As per the documents, the smartphone will feature an inward folding screen that will unfold as a tablet, as previously stated in the report.
