Virat will defeat the king within him/her to become the king of Brisbane

brisbane Virat of 2014, Virat of 2018 and now Virat of 2024, with time Virat’s stature increased, brand value increased and the expectations of the fans also kept increasing. In these ten years, Virat scored a lot of runs, beat bowlers from all over the world and also proved himself to be the world’s number one batsman. But the weakness of Virat which was caught by James Anderson of England in 2014 is clearly visible in his/her batting even today. Kohli was seen working separately on the balls outside the off stump which were going away from Virat’s body.

Even today, Virat Kohli has not been able to completely get rid of the weakness of Virat Kohli which was brought to the world’s attention by England’s fast bowler James Anderson in 2014. Virat, who scored a century on a difficult wicket in Perth in the first Test match of the series against Australia, was once again seen struggling with his/her old weakness in the Adelaide Test. In Test cricket, it has now become a common thing to dismiss Virat by bowling the ball outside the off stump.

Only one trap in ten years of Virat

During the 2014 tour of England, when James Anderson troubled Virat with his/her line and length, for the first time experts noticed a major flaw in Virat’s batting. Throughout the series, Anderson and the rest of England’s bowlers took full advantage of this weakness of Virat. Virat was also worried after being exposed like this in England and that is why as soon as he/she returned from that tour of England, Virat worked hard on this weakness of his/her. When the Indian team went on the tour of England in 2018, everyone’s eyes were on Virat and he/she did not disappoint anyone. From Anderson to the other English bowlers who had troubled Virat in 2014, all those people were seen standing in front of Virat. On that tour of England, Virat had told the world that Virat is the real king of modern day cricket by scoring 593 runs in ten innings at an average of 59.30.

Kohli’s fight with ‘Virat’

In 2018, even though Virat had won his/her battle against Anderson and the English bowlers, but after that tour, he/she again started having trouble playing balls outside the off-stump. Be it in the country or abroad, the bowlers are continuously dismissing Virat easily by bowling the ball outside the off-stump. The batsman who has managed to end the careers of world class bowlers like Lasith Malinga, Dale Steyn, Mitchell Johnson and Mohammad Aamir with his/her batting. Did. he/she has not been able to find a way to play the ball outside the off stump for the last several years. Now every cricket fan is waiting for the answer to the question of how and when will Virat be able to completely get rid of this weakness. The biggest reason for Virat’s falling average in Test cricket is this one weakness of his/her. Many years ago we saw Virat preparing differently for Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Irfan in the nets. Mohammad Irfan was a very tall bowler and hence, to get used to his/her bounce, Virat had asked the net bowler to bowl while standing on a chair.

Now Virat will have to think of a different way to deal with this weakness of his/her. Virat was seen working on his/her trigger movement in the nets in Brisbane but he/she himself knows that to score runs in Brisbane, he/she will have to control his/her favorite shot. Remember Sachin’s Sydney innings when Master scored a double century and Sachin did not play a single cover drive during his/her innings. It is not that Virat is out of form, he/she has scored a century in Perth but the pattern of getting out in both the innings in Adelaide is raising concerns. Virat got greedy and was out on the eighth stump ball of both Starc and Boland. There is a possibility of both bounce and speed on the pitch of Gabba and in such a situation the Australian fast bowlers will again set the net and wait for King Kohli.
