Virat Kohli Follows vegetarian diet. Most of their food is grilled, steamed and pan fried. But it was not always like this, he/she was a staunch non-vegetarian. During the live session in 2020, England cricketer Kevin Pietersen had told Virat Kohli that you used to eat non-veg. Then what happened that suddenly you decided to become a vegetarian?

Virat said that during the tour of England in 2018, he/she decided to become a vegetarian. Because before that, during the South Africa tour in 2018 itself, he/she had a problem related to cervical spine. Due to the spinal bone, a nerve going from his/her neck to the little finger of his/her right hand was getting pressed, due to which he/she was getting tingling sensation in his/her hand. Due to its pain and discomfort, he/she could not even sleep at night.

When Virat Kohli got tests done, his/her stomach turned out to be acidic. his/her body had become very acidic and was producing more uric acid. The stomach was snatching calcium from the bones and this caused cervical spine problems. Even after taking calcium and magnesium, his/her bones remained weak. Then on the advice of the doctor, he/she decided to become a vegetarian during the England tour. After giving up meat, his/her uric acid and acidic body got a lot of relief.
