According to Bihar Police, the incident of bomb blast was received in Sasaram, Rohtas, after which the team of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reached the spot and investigated the matter.

Police said, “The blast took place in a slum and a scooty has been recovered from the area. Prima facie it does not appear to be a communal incident.” Following the incident, the police team, Special Task Force (STF) and Para Military Force conducted a flag march in Sasaram on Saturday.

Communal tension flared up again in Bihar on Saturday after two groups clashed in two different areas of the state, leaving three people with bullet injuries, according to locals. According to the local people of the respective areas, the clashes took place in Paharpur area of ​​Bihar Sharif and Khasganj area of ​​Sohsarai police station area. “During the clashes in Paharpur area, two people have received bullet injuries and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment,” Mahendra Kumar of Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital told ANI. According to the Bihar Police, a total of 45 people have been arrested so far in connection with the clashes between groups following Ram Navami celebrations in some parts of the state. This includes 18 in connection with the Sasaram clash. The officials appealed to the public not to pay heed to rumours. “The situation is peaceful and section 144 has been imposed here,” he/she said.

Amidst all this, the country’s Home and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah has reached Patna on Saturday and he/she will attend the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) program in Digha at 11:30 am on Sunday. After this will go to Nawada. After returning from there, he/she will return to Delhi. The Home Minister will be involved in various inauguration and foundation stone laying programs of SSB.
