Advice from Vikas Divyakirti

Vikas said that parents have only one way to save their respect in front of their children and that is to become their friend. Many times it happens that the children respect their parents in front of them but they do not have any respect for them.

These parents are smart

These parents are smart

Parents who become friends of their children to gain respect from them are wise. If you try to give advice to your child on any matter as a parent, it will not be of any use to the child. You are giving him/her advice of your generation while he/she needs advice according to the new generation. In such a situation, parents can take a wise decision by becoming a friend of the child.

This was Vikas Divyakirti’s advice that parents should become friends of their children. Now we are telling you further how parents can become friends of their children.

Spend time with them

Spend time with them

Make time for your child even in your busy life. Play with them, watch their favourite movie or read a book together. Know about their interests and try to do those things with them. Remember, quality time matters more than quantity.

Understand their feelings

Understand their feelings

Children express their feelings too. Listen to them carefully and try to understand their feelings. Make them feel that their feelings matter, whether they are happy, angry, or sad.

Do all these things

Do all these things

Do not let the child feel that you want to control them all the time. Give them the freedom to express their opinions and take decisions.

Appreciate children when they do well. Let them know that you are proud of them. Appreciation will motivate them to do even better.

Don’t forget to laugh and have fun with children. Laugh at their jokes and join in their fun. Doing this will strengthen your bond with them.
