Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25: Punjab made the biggest score of the season, stormy innings of Abhishek-Prabhasimran

New Delhi. Punjab scored 426 runs against Hyderabad in the Group C match of Vijay Hazare Trophy. It rained runs in this match played on Friday. After winning the toss, Hyderabad decided to bowl first. Batting first, Punjab batted brilliantly. Prabhsimran Singh and Abhishek Sharma played excellent innings. Both the openers gave a tremendous start to the team. Both of them gave a tremendous partnership of 196 runs for the first wicket.

Prabhsimran Singh batted brilliantly and scored 137 runs in 105 balls, which included 20 fours and 3 sixes. he/she scored these runs at a strike rate of 130.47. Captain Abhishek Sharma also presented an example of tremendous batting. The captain scored 92 runs in 72 balls which included 7 fours and 6 shining sixes. After this, Anmolpreet Singh, who came to bat, took the partnership forward and scored 46 runs in 48 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six.

Ramandeep Singh took over the responsibility after Prabhsimran Singh was out. he/she scored 80 runs in just 53 balls with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes. After this, in the end Nehal Wadhera scored 35 runs in 19 balls and Naman Dheer scored 14 runs in 5 balls and played an important role in taking Punjab’s score to 426 runs for 4 wickets in 50 overs. This is the biggest score of the current season of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Also, Punjab has become the ninth team to score more than 400 in an innings.

Talking about Hyderabad’s bowling, everyone leaked a lot of runs. Despite this, he/she was successful in taking only 4 wickets for Punjab. For Hyderabad, Mohammad Muddasir, Saranu Nishant, Aniketah Reddy and Tanay took 1 wicket each.
