Indian Air Force is ready to show its might in the skies of UAE. The Sarang and Surya Kiran aerobatics teams of the Air Force have reached Dubai on the invitation of the UAE Government. Both the teams will participate in the air show to be held from November 14 to 18. The air show will take place at Al Maktoum International Airport. Indian Air Force’s LCA Tejas fighter jet has also reached Dubai to attend this air show. The Air Force gave this information by tweeting pictures of LAC (Light Combat Aircraft) Tejas.
The IAF wrote, “Self-reliant and capable… LCA Tejas of the Indian Air Force, made in India, has reached Dubai to participate in the air show to be held from 14 to 18 November at Al Maktoum International Airport.” “Tejas will showcase its superior flying capability, maneuverability and easy handling,” the IAF said. Both the IAF teams will perform at the air show along with aerobatics teams like Saudi Hawks, Russian Knights and UAE’s Al Fursan.
Indian Air Force contingent reached Dubai
On Wednesday, five ALH Dhruv (helicopter) of Sarang team and 10 BAE Hawk-132 of Surya Kiran team and three LCA Tejas reached Dubai after being questioned on Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster and C-130J Super Hercules aircrafts. The IAF was received by Major General Staff Pilot Ishaq Saleh Mohamed Al-Balushi of the UAE Armed Forces and other officials.
Tejas will fly in the sky of Dubai for the first time
The Dubai air show will be the first opportunity for the Surya Kiran team and Tejas to showcase their aerial maneuvers in the UAE. While the Sarang team participated in the Al Ain Grand Prix in the UAE in 2005. This will be the fourth flight of Tejas aircraft outside the country. It has previously participated in the Sri Lanka Air Show in 2021, the Bahrain International Air Show in 2016 and the Langkawi International Maritime Aero Expo (LIMA-2019) in Malaysia.
Indian Air Force’s big power named ‘Tejas’
HAL Tejas is a single engine multirole light fighter jet developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency in association with the Aircraft Research and Design Center of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited. Earlier this year, HAL had signed a $6.58 billion deal for the Indian Air Force to manufacture 73 new Tejas Mark 1A light combat aircraft jets and 10 Tejas Mark 1 two-seat training jets.
Tejas fighter aircraft are very important for the IAF. Tejas can play a big role in facing the dual challenge of China and Pakistan. In the match of Tejas, Pakistan fills its JF-17. While Tejas is a completely indigenous jet, JF-17 has been made by Pakistan in collaboration with China. The Tejas is not only faster and lighter, but also has a more powerful engine than the JF-17. Its payload capacity is also more than JF-17. Tejas has been modified to suit the needs of the Navy, whereas the JF-17 does not have such capability.
Amidst tension with China, the army will get 83 ‘Tejas’ aircraft, the deal of 48 thousand crores has been approved
New Tejas can lick Pakistan-China dust
Since the arrival of the Rafale fighter jets, the Indian Air Force is clearly in a better position than the Pakistan Air Force. The gap between the IAF and the PAF will widen with the induction of the new batch of Tejas fighter jets. Tejas Mark 1A has 43 improvements over its previous version. According to experts, it can destroy the entire fighter fleet of Pakistan. Not only this, Tejas MK1A can also face most of the fighter aircraft of China. Tejas has often been compared to the Xiaolong jet of China. Although Tejas is more advanced while Jiaolong is a third generation fighter aircraft.
