Video: Father was sitting among 80 thousand spectators, tears welled after seeing Nitish’s century

New Delhi. Indian cricket team has got a new superstar on the tour of Australia. Nitish Kumar Reddy, coming in trouble for India in the Boxing Day Test in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, played an innings which will always be remembered. In the first innings of the Melbourne Test against Australia, Team India was in danger of follow-on and he/she scored a century at number 8. Nitish’s father Mutyala was watching this scene sitting among 80 thousand spectators and as soon as the century was completed, he/she shed tears.

The innings played by 21 year old Nitish Reddy against Australia in Australia will be remembered whenever cricket is talked about. The Indian team was in trouble on the third day of the Boxing Day Test being played in Melbourne. Australia had scored 474 runs in the first innings and Team India lost 6 wickets for 191 runs. From here, the threat of follow-on started looming over India but Nitish Reddy along with Washington Sundar formed such a partnership which ruined the efforts of the Kangaroos.
