Vasu Bhagnani’s complaint against Netflix, allegations of fraud worth crores! Know the matter

There is a dispute going on between famous Bollywood filmmaker Vasu Bhagnani and OTT platform Netflix. Vasu Bhagnani has accused of fraud of Rs 47 crore, while Netflix also retaliated and accused Vasu Bhagnani of owing money to them. Vasu Bhagnani’s company Pooja Entertainment has accused 10 executives including Netflix, Los Gatos Production Service India and Zoo Digital in the complaint. Los Gatos Production Service India Company manages Netflix’s Indian content.

Vasu Bhagnani made this allegation

In the complaint filed by Vasu Bhagnani, it is said that his/her three films ‘Hero Number One’, ‘Mission Raniganj’ and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ were streamed on Netflix. Netflix has not yet paid Rs 47.37 crore for the streaming rights.

Netflix hits back

After these allegations by the filmmaker, Netflix also issued a statement. It said that these allegations are baseless. The OTT platform on the contrary alleged that Pooja Entertainment owes money. Currently, this matter is being resolved and the authorities are investigating it.

Ali Abbas Zafar also accused Vasu

Recently, director Ali Abbas Zafar had also accused Vasu Bhagnani’s production house and said that he/she was not paid Rs 7.3 crore for directing the film. However, after the matter escalated, Vasu also accused Ali Abbas Zafar of misusing the subsidy funds received from Abu Dhabi officials during the shooting of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’.
