Patna. The teams of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will face each other in the upcoming match of Ranji Trophy. The Uttar Pradesh team reached Patna late evening on Monday. This much awaited match will be held at Moinul Haq Stadium. Both the teams will be seen practicing on 21st and 22nd January, after that the Bihar vs Uttar Pradesh match will be played on the same ground from 23rd January. Bihar team has given a tough challenge to the opposition teams on the basis of its batting and bowling. The captain and coach say that the team has practiced strategically and is ready to perform brilliantly at home.

Many star players can be seen playing
Apart from players like Aryan Jurel (captain), Shivam Mavi, Saurabh Kumar, Priyam Garg, Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana and some other famous players can be seen playing for this match on behalf of Uttar Pradesh team. Sunil Joshi (former Indian player) has reached Patna with his/her team as the chief coach of the UP team. Deputy Secretary Nilesh Kumar, BCA Liaison Officer Rupak Kumar and others were present on behalf of Bihar Government to give a grand welcome to the Uttar Pradesh team at the airport.

Bihar needs to win the match
Bihar team playing in Group C has lost four out of five matches. In this, it has lost by an innings in 3 matches. The match could not be played against Bengal. Bihar still has 1 point. In the second phase, Bihar will play its first match against UP at home ground. At the same time, the second and last match of this season will be played against host Kerala from January 30. Till now Bihar has not won.

Bihar is in danger of going from elite to plate group
After becoming champion in the plate group in 2022, Bihar has been playing in the elite group for the last two seasons. Bihar will have to win one of the next two matches at any cost, only then it will be able to stay in the elite group. If Bihar loses both these matches then the danger of going from elite group to plate group will increase.
