US’s top university’s Grammy-winning ‘rapper’ will become a professor, will teach ‘hip-hop’ to children in the class!

Lupe Fiasco at Johns Hopkins University: Now a famous rapper has been made a professor in America’s top university to teach the basics of music. In fact, Grammy Award-winning rapper Lupe Fiasco has been made a visiting professor at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. A new four-year ‘Hip-Hop’ program has been started in the university, the responsibility of teaching which has been entrusted to Lupe Fiasco. This course is scheduled to start in Fall 2025.
This program combines the art of music with industry and business skills. Fiasco is known for its great songs. he/she also gives conscious messages to the people through his/her rap. he/she has also taught rap courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Fiasco expressed his/her happiness on Instagram and thanked new program head Wendell Patrick. he/she said he/she is excited to join the Peabody Institute as a visiting professor.

Who is rapper Lupe Fiasco?

Lupe Fiasco was born on February 17, 1982 in Chicago and his/her real name is Wasalu Muhammad Jaco. he/she is a big name in the world of hip-hop. his/her first album ‘Food and Liquor’, released in 2006, brought him/her a lot of fame and he/she was nominated for the Grammy several times. In 2008, he/she received a Grammy Award for the song ‘Daydreamin’. his/her other albums like ‘The Cool’ and ‘Lasers’ have made him/her one of rap’s most influential artists.

In 2022-2023, he/she taught a rap course at MIT as part of the MLK Visiting Professor and Scholars Program. he/she is contributing in both music and education. This new program will be a great opportunity for young artists. Students will be able to learn the tricks of both music and business from Fiasco. It will be interesting to see what the fiasco teaches students from their experiences.
