USPS temporarily suspends some inbound parcel from China amidst the Trump Trade War




The United States Postal Service (USPS) announced a temporary suspension of international package acceptance from China and Hong Kong from 4 February.

This suspension applies only to inbound parcels from the posts of China and Hong Kong and does not affect the distribution of letters and flats from these areas.

The USPS shared the announcement to Tuesday (local time) on its official website and wrote, “Effective February 4, Postal Service will temporarily suspend the international package acceptance of inbound parcel from China and Hong Kong posts. Note that the flow of letters and flats from China and Hong Kong will not affect. ,

Trump, who recently took over, imposed 25 percent tariffs on goods imported from China, Mexico and Canada over the weekend. Later on Monday, US President Donald Trump adjourned Tariff on Mexico and Canada under the ongoing conversation in a month.

In response to the US government’s 10 percent tariff announcement on all Chinese goods exported to the US, China also imposed additional tariffs on various American goods, including 15 percent tariffs and 10 percent tariffs on coal and liquidized natural gas. On crude oil starting on 10 February.
