The host USA team won the match in the super over. With this victory, America has changed the entire equation of the points table in Group A. It has left India behind and has reached the first position. Pakistan is also facing the threat of being eliminated from the tournament.

The match between Pakistan and America was played late on Thursday night. Pakistan batted first and scored 159 runs for 7 wickets. In reply, America also scored 159 runs for 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. The match was tied. Then a super over was played. America batted first in the super over and scored 18 runs.
