Professors, researchers, executives of multinational companies are also given green cards in the same category.

Eb-2 category: The final action date for India under this category has proceeded till January 1, 2013, while China’s date has moved forward till 1 October, 2020. For all other countries, this date has moved forward to 22 June, 2023. In this category, people who have an advanced degree or have extraordinary capacity. People essential for national security also get visas in this category.

EB-3 category: In this category, the final action date for India has moved forward till April 1, 2013, while China has moved forward till 1 November, 2020. All other countries have moved forward by 1 January 2023. Green cards are given to professionals and skill workers under the EB-3 category. Indian workers, usually working in America, get a green card under this category.

EB-4 category: This category is for some special immigrants, including people coming to America for religious works. All these people get a green card.
