UPSC Prelims Result List: Why is the list released on upsc.gov.in important? Check your name and roll number

UPSC Prelims Result Name List 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the result of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024. This list contains the names of all the candidates who have cleared the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024. Earlier, the results of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 were declared. You can check the direct link here.

Candidates who appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam can now check their result on the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. The official notice reads, ‘In continuation of the press note dated 01/07/2024 declaring the result roll number wise of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 held on 16 June 2024, the name and roll number wise result of the candidates who have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024 is as follows.’

Check the complete list of qualified candidates below. The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2024 was conducted on June 16 at various exam centers across the country. More than 13.4 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. The exam was held in two shifts, which included General Studies and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).

General Studies (Paper I): It included subjects like Indian Polity, Geography, History, Indian Economy, Science & Technology, Environment & Ecology and International Relations.

Civil Services Aptitude Test (Paper 2): It consisted of Reasoning and Analytical Questions, Reading Comprehension Questions and Decision Making Questions.

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam consisted of objective type questions with four options. A total of 400 marks were allotted for this exam. Successful candidates will be eligible to appear for the next stage UPSC Civil Services (Main) Exam 2024. This will be followed by an interview or personality test.

To pass the UPSC CSE Prelims exam, a candidate must score at least 33% marks in General Studies Paper 2 and obtain overall passing marks in General Studies Paper 1.
