When is UPPSC PSC, RO/ARO Exam 2024?

As per the schedule, UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam 2024 is scheduled to be held on 7th and 8th December 2024 in 41 districts of Uttar Pradesh. UPPCS paper will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9.30 to 11.30 am. Whereas the second shift paper will start from 2.30 pm.

Why is there opposition to normalization?

How is normalization done in the result?

Through the normalization formula, marks are assigned to students according to the level of shiftwise papers in UPPSC and other examinations. In this, the percentile of the candidates is decided according to the level and shift of difficulty of the paper. In this process, the marks of some candidates increase and those of others decrease. In such a situation, on one hand some candidates gain, while on the other hand some also suffer loss.

Who benefits and who loses in UPPSC normalization?

The process of normalization is applied in examinations conducted in more than one shift. Finally, the merit list is prepared on the basis of normalized marks only. In this process, candidates have also made allegations like rigging in the examination. In such a situation, the candidates are demanding that the normalization formula should be abolished and the paper should be taken on the same day, in the same shift and without any normalization. Demand for UPPSC One Day, One Shift

Students are protesting with this demand. Candidates believe that when the paper will be held in one day, one shift, there will be no need for normalization.
