Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has been arrested by the police in a murder case. Bengaluru police detained Darshan from a farmhouse in Mysore on June 11 and the interrogation is going on since then. he/she is accused of murdering Renuka Swamy of Bengaluru. Renuka was accused of sending objectionable messages and obscene photos to Darshan’s girlfriend actress Pavitra Gowda. This is why Renuka Swamy was murdered. Now a big update has come in the case. The driver who drove his/her car has surrendered to the police. Driver Ravi took the body to Bengaluru, 200 km from Chitadurga in Karnataka. Darshan Thoogudeepa and Pavitra Gowda along with 11 people are in police custody for allegedly murdering Renuka Swamy.

The driver surrendered

Driver Ravi surrendered at the Deputy Superintendent of Police office in Chitradurga on Thursday night. An accused identified as Raghu alias Raghavendra along with several others had arranged a taxi to take Renuka Swamy to Bengaluru on June 8. All the accused had boarded Ravi’s cab in Chitradurga town and reached Bengaluru the same evening.

Ravi’s connection with the actor

Ravi went into hiding after dropping them in Bengaluru. Later, he/she approached the taxi association in Chitradurga, which asked him/her to surrender before the police, sources said. Raghu used to run a fan club of the Kannada actor in Chitradurga. The police had said that the actor had hired him/her to gather information about Renuka Swamy. Renuka Swamy’s wife alleged that she was abducted from near their house. Now, CCTV footage has emerged that shows two cars leaving the spot where the body was dumped on the night of the murder. One of these cars is linked to the murder accused actor.
