UP School Exam 2024-25: Exams from 23rd, but don’t know what number of papers will be there?

Half-yearly examinations are to be held in basic schools of Uttar Pradesh from December 23. The scheme has been released. But teachers are worried about giving marks on the basis of which integer? Term examinations, half-yearly and annual examinations will be of how many integers out of 100, 120 or 200? The reason is that according to the arrangement of marks given with the UP Basic School Exam Marking Scheme, the total of marks is 120. Whereas, according to the performance of the mark sheet given on the portal, the total of marks is 200.

UP Half Yearly Exam: These instructions along with the scheme

The scheme for half-yearly examinations from class one to eight in UP basic schools has been released. The exams are from 23rd December 2024. Along with this, details of written and oral marks are also given. It is written in it that in the written half-yearly examination, all the question papers will have full marks of 50. Teachers say that the annual examination is already of 50 marks. There has been a term exam. Its integer was 10. If there will be another term exam, it will also be of 10 marks. In this way the total number of integers in the year became 120.

What was the arrangement earlier?

Earlier the half yearly examination was of 30 marks. At the same time, term exams were of 10 marks each. There was an annual examination of 50 marks. In this way the integer became 100. Teachers say that there was no confusion then. This problem has been visible since last year. Guidance is also not given from the level of UP Education Department. This is the reason why different schools give marks by fixing different integers.

200 marks in marksheet performance

The troubles of the teachers increased further when they saw the performance of preparing the marksheet. There are term exams of 20 marks each. The marks given for the half yearly examination are 60. The annual examination is to be of 100 marks. In this way the total number became 200. Now teachers are not able to decide which integer they should consider to check the copy and prepare the marksheet.

Regarding this, Vinay Kumar Singh, President of Primary Teacher Trained Graduate Association, says that teachers are very confused. This will cause a lot of difficulty in evaluation. The department should clarify on what basis evaluation should be done and mark sheets should be prepared.

Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department had also issued the wrong scheme this time. In the scheme that was released, there was no mention of Hindi examination in class 6 and Science examination in class seven and eight. After the controversy arose, the department released the revised scheme on Friday.
