Sultanpur (UP). The police jeep of Lambhua Kotwali of the district became uncontrollable on Thursday after a tire burst and six people present in the market were injured in its grip. Police said that the injured have been admitted to the Community Health Center.
According to the police, people angry with the incident caught hold of the driver and thrashed him/her, while the injured have been admitted to the Community Health Center for treatment. Lambhua Police Inspector Shivakant Tripathi said that Ranjit, the watchman posted at the police station, had gone out to fill air in the vehicle, but suddenly the tire of the vehicle burst, he/she lost control of the vehicle and six people standing in the market were injured. .
he/she said that all the injured were immediately taken to the Community Health Center where they are undergoing treatment. Tripathi told that the investigation is being done regarding the incident. According to the local people, the driver came out of the market with a jeep at a very high speed and in the meantime he/she suddenly lost control of the vehicle due to which six people standing in the market came under its grip.
Police said the injured have been identified as Kumkum, Taufiq, Sammeeda, Nitesh, Nitin and Muskan. On the other hand, a huge crowd of local people has gathered at Kotwali Lambhua and people are demanding action against the driver. Police from nearby police stations have also been sent to the spot to control the crowd. Superintendent of Police Somen Burma said that Additional Superintendent of Police Vipul Srivastava has been sent to investigate on the spot. he/she said that if the driver is found guilty in the investigation or the vehicle is not fit, strict legal action will be ensured.
