It has been said in the petition that the Uttar Pradesh government should not prepare the original selection list of this recruitment, so that the students of the general category are not harmed. OBC, SC candidates have called for gherao of the Chief Minister’s residence on September 2 in case of delay in preparing the new list.

19 thousand rupees will be lost

Vinay Pandey and Shivam Pandey have challenged the High Court’s decision in the Supreme Court on behalf of the general candidates. OBC candidates had already filed a caveat in the Supreme Court. In this way, two petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court in the teacher recruitment case. According to the order of the High Court’s division bench, if a new selection list is made, then 19000 teachers will be out of the list. At the same time, the reserved category candidates of 69000 teacher recruitment met Director General School Education Kanchan Verma and Joint Director Ganesh Kumar. The reserved category candidates of 69000 teacher recruitment were disappointed after meeting the officials. After this, they announced to surround the CM residence.

OBC category candidates have filed a caveat in the Supreme Court so that the apex court hears their side before giving any decision. In this petition, it has been demanded that in case of adjustment of unreserved category candidates, 4 thousand OBC candidates who filed a petition in the High Court should get appointment letters, otherwise they will oppose the adjustment of unreserved category. In 2019, the Yogi government had recruited 69 thousand teachers.

Candidates on strike after cancellation of merit list

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court had cancelled the selection list issued by the state government for not following the reservation rules and had ordered to issue a new list in three months. The opposition had accused the state government of being anti-reservation. On this, the Yogi government had issued a statement saying that the government will not allow injustice to happen to any candidate. Meanwhile, the candidates of the reserved category are continuously sitting on strike.

The candidates are demanding that the state government should follow the order of the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court. Under which the government has to issue a new selection list for recruitment. The candidates say that due to the lax attitude of the officers, the selection list has not been issued yet. OBC and SC candidates have called for gherao of the Chief Minister’s residence and a mahadharna on September 2.

The meeting was held on 17 August
