Universities are turning a blind eye to ‘two courses simultaneously’, UGC explained the rules! Students must read this news

UGC 2nd degree course at the same time: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has said that the guidelines for studying two academic programs simultaneously should be seriously implemented. In April 2022, UGC had decided to run two courses together. After that, final guidelines were also released in September. It has been more than two years since the guidelines came into effect, but UGC is still receiving complaints that admission in two courses is not possible simultaneously.

Admission is not given in the name of migration, SLC

Sometimes it is a matter of submitting the migration certificate, and sometimes admission is not given due to lack of school leaving certificate. UGC Secretary Professor Manish R Joshi has written a letter to the universities regarding all these issues. he/she has told the institutions that such a mechanism will have to be created in which students do not face difficulties in taking admission in two courses.

UGC says that if the student is not given admission in another course due to lack of migration certificate, then the purpose of two degree courses is not being achieved. Even after more than two years, many universities have still not implemented the guidelines of doing two courses simultaneously. Now UGC has taken this matter very seriously.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has warned universities that the education reforms being implemented under the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) will have to be implemented at all costs. Cautioning the universities, UGC has said that those educational institutions who are negligent in doing so will be called to account.
