Union Budget 2025-26: Focus on development, inclusive growth, and strengthening the economy




Finance Minister Nirmala Sitarman presented the Union Budget 2025-26, underlining major priorities to accelerate economic growth, inclusive growth, help industries and increase domestic spirit.

The budget also emphasized the rising expenditure power for the growing middle class of India.

Accepting the ongoing geopolitical challenges that slowed down global economic development, the Finance Minister expressed confidence in India’s strong economic foundation. The government’s development policies and structural reforms have deployed India as the world’s fastest growing major economy in the last decade. This has strengthened global confidence in India’s capacity, making it important to achieve overall development in the next five years.

The Finance Minister highlighted the government’s vision of ‘Saba Vikas’ (development for all) for balanced development in all fields. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government aims to unlock India’s entire capacity and increase its global status.
