Washington: Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has been chosen as the Person of the Year 2022 by Time magazine. Time Magazine, one of the world’s prestigious magazines, gives this award to the person who made the most impact on the world in the last one year. Other finalists for the award included Iranian protesters, Chinese President Xi Jinping and the US Supreme Court. The editors of the magazine said that the decision was very clear.
Editor Edward Felsenthal wrote, ‘In a world divided on so many different issues it is together on this issue.’ He said that this award has been given not only to Zelensky, but to the soul of Ukraine. This includes people like Evgen Klopotenko who is a chef. Who gave free food and medicine to thousands of people of Ukraine. Klopotenko was imprisoned by Russia and released after three months.
