Today (26 January) India faced Bangladesh in the Women’s Under 19 T20 World Cup. Bangladesh had to face a crushing defeat against India in the match.

New Delhi. Today (26 January) India faced Bangladesh in the Women’s Under 19 T20 World Cup. Bangladesh had to face a crushing defeat against India by 8 wickets in the match. Team India registered an easy victory here and defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Bangladesh team came to bat first and set a target of 65 runs for India, which India achieved in just 7.1 overs.

Bangladesh team came to bat first after losing the toss and batting poorly they could score only 64 runs. While bowling brilliantly for India, Vaishnavi Sharma took a total of 3 wickets in her name. Apart from this, Shabnam Shakeel, Jositha and Trisha took 1 wicket each. Due to poor batting of Bangladesh, it did not take much time for India to win this match.

Trisha and Kamalini came to open for Team India. Kamalini was out after scoring 3 runs but Trisha Crease scored 40 runs. However, she was out on the ball of Habiba Pinky. Sanika Chalke and Nikki Prasad batted till the end and led Team India to victory. India achieved the target of 65 in 7.1 overs.

India close to semi-finals

With this victory, Team India has come closer to reaching the semi-finals. India has equal 6 points with Australia. Both the teams are now on equal footing in Group A. Sri Lankan team is at third position with 3 points. India has 1 more match left. If India wins then it will reach the semi-finals. If it loses, the top 2 team will reach the semi-finals. However, there is a high possibility that India will reach the semi-finals.
