Two hands each before the third test, we know them very well… Cummins threatened and Gill countered.

New Delhi. Australian captain Pat Cummins has warned of troubling the Indian batsmen with ‘bouncers’ in the third Test. This strategy is inspired by the victory of the second test. Team India is also ready for this. Shubhman Gill said, ‘We know what strategy they can come up with. Australia’s fast bowlers, especially Cummins, troubled the Indian batsmen a lot in the second Test played in Adelaide. Australia has leveled the series 1-1 by winning the Adelaide Test by 10 wickets.

India-Australia third test will be played from Saturday. A day before the match, Pat Cummins said, ‘This strategy (bouncer) worked in the Adelaide Test. This always remains in mind as Plan B. If it was really making them uncomfortable then we might as well make it Plan A. It was effective in Adelaide and I am sure it will work in the third Test also.

Pat Cummins also praised his/her batsmen for facing Jasprit Bumrah with confidence, who could not do so in the Perth Test. he/she said, ‘We are professional cricketers and are prepared for this. Our players are ready to face every challenge, whatever the circumstances. Experienced Steve Smith has not performed well in the series so far but Cummins is confident that he/she will return to form soon. he/she said, ‘he/she is doing well in the nets. I am sure they will perform well. he/she is very experienced and a good innings is not far away.

Shubman Gill, who came to the press conference from India’s side, said that there has not been much change in Australia’s bowling attack in the last several years. Therefore, now their encounter depends more on mental strategy than skill. Gill said, “We have played against them a lot and there have been only minor changes in their Test team in the last five-six years. Both teams know which areas we are going to target each other. I know what kind of challenges there will be here. Therefore, in such series, mental strength is more important than skill.
