‘Tumbaad’ rocked the 5th day as well, even on re-release Kareena’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ was beaten

Soham Shah’s re-release ‘Tumbbad’ is making a lot of noise in the theatres. This 2018 film was re-released last Friday along with Kareena Kapoor’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’. Interestingly, while it has grossed Rs 10.50 crore in five days at the box office, ‘The Buckingham Murders’ has done a business of just Rs 6.80 crore. Not only this, while Kareena’s crime-thriller has managed to earn only lakhs on Tuesday after Monday, the six-year-old ‘Tumbbad’ is collecting crores in theatres despite being present on OTT.

Horror-thriller ‘Tumbbad’, directed by Rahi Anil Barve, had a lifetime collection of Rs 13.50 crore at the time of its release in 2018. On its re-release, it not only performed brilliantly during the weekend, but is now earning well during weekdays as well. On the other hand, Kareena’s work in the new release ‘The Buckingham Murders’ is being praised, but it has lagged badly in terms of earnings. This has proved to be the weakest film of the actress’ 24-year career.
