US President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order to initiate the process of closing the Education Department, stating that essential programs such as Pail Grants and Title I Funding for disabled children would be preserved and re -appointed to other agencies, the overall department failed to improve education despite an increase in the last four decades.
“Today we take a very historical action that was 45 years to make. I will signed an executive order for everyone to end the Federal Education Department once. Democrats know that this is right. I hope they are going to vote for it because they finally have to educate their children. We are not doing well with education in this country.
Trump claimed that when former US President Jimmy Carter built the education department, he/she was opposed by his/her cabinet and Republican.
“When President Carter created the Federal Education Department in 1979, it was opposed by his/her cabinet members as well as the American Federation of Teachers The New York Times editorial board and the famous Democrat Senator Daniel Patrick Mionihan,” he/she said.
Trump said that historically, the opposition makes sense. According to the White House, the US Education Department has spent USD 3 Plus Trillion since 1979. Since then, the cost per pupil has increased by more than 245 percent-almost nothing has been shown for it.
The white house data shows that mathematics and reading scores are the lowest level for 13 -year -old children. Six and about three-fourths in the ten fourth graders are not skilled in eighth graders mathematics. Seven out of ten are not fourth and eighth graders are not efficient in reading, while 40 percent of the fourth category students also do not meet basic reading levels. The standardized test score has been flat for decades. American students rank 28 out of 37 OECD member countries in mathematics.
“History has proved them right. After 45 years, the United States spends more money on education far than any other country and spends more than any pupil than any country and is not close, but still we rank near the lower part of the list in terms of success. We are the lowest and middle school in the list. The primary and middle schools are reading worse in reading today.”

Trump said that despite these failures, the department’s expenses increased by 600 percent in a short time.

Trump said that he/she was closing half the employees and saved the department.
“My administration has started decreasing in force. We have cut the number of bureaucrats in half,” he/she said.
Trump said that the funds used to support disabled students and scholarship students will be preserved and these duties will be provided to other institutions.
“Useful functions of the department- Pail grant, a funding resources title and special requirements for disabled children will be preserved. Pale Grant is considered a very good program, a funding and resources for children with special disabled children and children with special needs- various other agencies and departments are going to be preserved in full and redistribution.”
“But beyond these main requirements, my administration will take all legitimate steps to close the department as soon as possible- it is not making us good. We want to return our students to the states. We want education to come back to the states and they are going to do an unprecedented work. It is a comments thing and is going to do it,” he/she said.
